Shane Bufano ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) - Shane Bufano has been involved with Vermontsports since he was a young boy.  He started playing soccer when he wasyoung and grew up playing for Nordic Spirit Soccer Club, and VermontODP.  He played on Nordic Spirit for seven years and Vermont ODP forfive years earning six Snickers Cup State Championships, reachingregionals in all six of those years.  In his playing career, Bufano played three high school sports at Champlain Valley Union High School.  It was here where Bufanoplayed Soccer, Basketball and Baseball winning three D1 StateChampionships.  He played for the Crusaders in 2002 as a junior whenthey began their run of six straight Soccer State Championships. During this run he also took part in the 2003 Soccer StateChampionship.  Bufano also participated on the2003 Crusader Baseball Team, which was the only CVU team to ever win aD1 State Championship in baseball.  After CVU, Bufano continued his playing career in soccer and tennis at Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT.  In soccer he was therunner-up for the Association of Division 3 Independents ConferenceRookie of the Year in his first season scoring 16 goals.  In the 2005and 2006 seasons he was named to the AD31 Conference Second and ThirdTeams respectively.  In 2007 he earned the GMC Scholar-Athlete Awardfor the Soccer and Tennis teams.  In his tennis career he also earnedthree other awards in the GMC Tennis MVP Award (2005), and the GMCCoaches Award (2006, 2007).

Nowadays, Bufano is a recent graduate ofGreen Mountain College (2009) earning his Bachelors Degree inElementary Education.  He is currently working at Williston CentralSchool.  Additionally, he works with his other passion of sportsthrough photography, journalism and web design.  Bufano helped design and provides all the sports photography for Adirondack SportsNet (www.adirondacksportsnet.com)based in upstate NY.  He also contributes articles to the site.  Thisis a site devoted to bringing small school New York Athletics exposurethat they don't usually get.  He also contributes photographs toUniversity of Vermont Athletics, Saint Michaels College Athletics, andGreen Mountain Athletics.  He is excited to help expand Vermont SportsNetwork to something that is able to provide the best and most completesports coverage of Vermont High Schools, Colleges, and youth clubs.

Preston Junger ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) - Preston has been playing sports and following sports since the early 80s (he can be seen attending many basketball and baseball games). He is a native of Vermont but currently resides in NYC where he works in advertising for a great company (Yelp.com).  He created this site to share with all the loyal Vermont sports fans in VT and around the world and is in Vermont very frequently.

A graduate of the University of Vermont, he takes great pride in being the "biggest Catamount fan" amongst all of his UVM friends and family (his wife is a Catamount as well).

An active University of Vermont Alum and founded the VT Sports Network (VTSportsNetwork.com.  Also known as Catamount Country.com). The site was originally devised in 2004 as a fan page to show passion for Vermont sports and allow other fans to have a place to share their passion and support.

Since then, VTSN has been imitated (NEK Sports Net - neksportsnet .com, for instance), faced challenges, but most importantly grown tremendously to maintain its status as a great source for Vermont sports news, user-generated content, interviews, sports discussions, video, photos and more.
