The Florida Flame has claimed guard T.J. Sorrentine from the NBA Development League available player pool and waived forward Jonathan Moore. Sorrentine, 5-11, 185, played his collegiate basketball at the University of Vermont, where he averaged 18.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 2004-05.

 OTTAWA - Tim Thomas savored his first NHL shutout all the more after having set it aside as an impossible dream. Thomas made 44 saves and Brad Boyes had a goal and two assists to lead the Boston Bruins to a 5-0 victory over the Ottawa Senators.A two-time All-American at the University of Vermont who played in Finland last season, Thomas has appeared in 15 NHL games overall, including 11 straight since he was recalled from Providence of the AHL on Jan. 10. |
