BURLINGTON, Vt. – Senior Marqus Blakely (Metuchen, N.J.) and junior Evan Fjeld (Durham, N.C.) combined for 39 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Vermont men’s basketball team to a 78-66 victory over Hartford on Tuesday night at Patrick Gym. The win is the Cats’ 12 in their last 13 tries, as they improve to 14-5 overall and 5-0 in America East action. Blakely scored a game-high 24 points and added seven rebounds, while Fjeld added 15 and eight. The two combined to shoot 15-for-22 from the floor, as the Cats have now won 18 of their last 19 America East regular season games dating back to last season.
